A “Mask-Making Workshop” will be presented at the Hilo Public Library on two consecutive Saturdays, February 28 and March 7 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Lanai.
Lee Michael Walczuk, a veteran of fine arts and theatrical training for more than 30 years, will conduct this free two-part workshop on mask-making which will include research, demonstration and creation of paper-based masks. All supplies will be provided.
The Friends of Hilo Public Library is sponsoring this workshop which is suitable for all ages. Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must be able to attend both portions of the workshop.
The workshop is limited to 20 people. Interested participants must register by either calling the library or signing up at the adult reference desk.
Program schedule is subject to change. Call the Library three weeks in advance if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed.
