Book Smart Book Club – “Strange Contagion”

In November, the Book Smart Book Club will meet to discuss Strange Contagion: Inside the Surprising Science of Infectious Behaviors and Viral Emotions and What They Tell Us About Ourselves (call number 302 Kr) by Lee Daniel Kravetz.

Journalist for Psychology Today, the Huffington Post and the New York Times, and father, Kravetz tackles the alarming phenomenon of a string of teenage suicides in affluent Palo Alto, California, where he lives.

The Book Smart Book Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in the Language, Literature and History Section of the Hawaii State Library. New members are always welcome. No registration necessary.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 10 days in advance to request a sign langauge interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
