Meditative Artwork

Can you remember the sense of peace and enjoyment you felt while coloring as a child? Can coloring help you relax?

Use colored pencils or gel pens to create a meditative state. Repetitive motions such as coloring (or running, walking, dancing) can help strengthen your focus and easily shift your attention back to a relaxed state. Stressful thoughts and future worries can be simply pushed aside as you take time to enjoy the present.

Contact the library 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
