Aloha Aina Recycling Drive – Sunset Beach Elementary School

The Aloha ‘Āina Recycling Drive will be at Sunset Beach Elementary School from 9:00am – 12:00pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017.
Stop by to drop off miscellaneous recyclable items! We will be collecting:
-Scrap metal (bicycles, refrigerators, other appliances, gas tanks w/main valve removed, etc.)
-Electronics (including computers, TVs, laptops, printer
-Cartridges, cell phones, cameras, game systems, & more)
-Batteries (household, vehicle & other batteries)
-Clothing & Household items
-Used household cooking oil
-HI-5 beverage cans & bottles
-Confidential documents will be collected in locked bins by Goodwill Hawaiʻi and shredded securely at their headquarters.
Proceeds from HI-5 containers, scrap metal and used cooking oil will serve as a fundraiser for the host school!

The Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives are coordinated by Kokua Hawaii Foundation as part of the 3R's School Recycling Program and are made possible through sponsorship from Schnitzer Steel Industries and support from other local recycling partners including Pacific Biodiesel, Goodwill Hawaii, T&N Computer Recycling, Interstate Batteries, RRR Recycling Services, and Aloha Overstock!
Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives (AARD) are back for the 2017-2018 school year! This year, we are hosting 18 AARDs at schools across Oʻahu. All events are held on Saturdays from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Remaining AARDs of the SY17-18 are listed below:

March 17th, 2018: Ewa Makai Middle School
March 31st, 2018: Kamiloʻiki Elementary School
April 14th, 2018: Kapolei Elementary School
April 28th, 2018: Kalihi Elementary School
May 12th, 2018: Moanalua Elementary & Middle School
AARDs provide opportunities for schools, families & community members to drop off a variety of goods for reuse and recycling.
