Saturday Afternoon at the Movies

August 12, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 4:15 pm

Please join us in the First floor Reading Room for another Saturday Afternoon at the Movies.

Young Kubo, against his mother’s repeated warnings, stays out after dark during the festival of Obon. As soon as the moon hangs in the sky, Kubo is relentlessly pursued by the Moon King’s twin daughters, an evil pair who do indeed want his other eye. Kubo embarks on an adventure with guardians Monkey and Beetle in order to reclaim his father’s lost armor, the only thing that can protect him from the villainous Sisters and Moon King (voiced by Ralph Fiennes). Two Oscar nominations. Film is rated PG.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if other special accommodation is needed.
