Astronomical ideas have existed as long as people have been able to look up at the stars. Today the term ‘astronomy' refers to the scientific study of the stars and other celestial objects which has evolved greatly over the centuries. However the concepts that make up astronomy (the universe, stars, constellations, etc.) can have different connotations to different people. In this presentation we'll explore the idea of astronomy as a science and its importance to people through personal experiences.
This presentation will be hosted by Emily Peavy, ‘Imiloa's Planetarium Technician and Support Facilitator
