Arts Chat IV: National Endowment for the Arts

For the fourth installation of Arts Chat program, the focus of the dialogue will be on the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the state of the arts today. Facilitated by Noelle Kahanu (SFCA Board Commissioner and Assistant Specialist in Public Humanities and Native Hawaiian Programs, University of Hawai`i-Manoa American Studies Department); speakers will include Terry Liu (Hawai`i Arts Alliance and formerly of the NEA) and Karen Tiller-Polivka (arts advocate and SFCA Board Commissioner).

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. Artizen by MW, the museum café, serves breakfast from 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. and accepts advance orders and payments via their website (www.artizenbymw.com). If ordering in advance please do so by 3:00 p.m. the day before (Tuesday May 23rd). The menu is also posted on their website.

There is no parking on site. Paid parking is available across the street at Ali'i Place (enter at 1099 Alakea Street), metered parking at Iolani Palace, and street parking. Several TheBus lines stop directly in front of or close to the museum entrance.
