Maui Climate March Film Series: How to Let Go of the World

April 28, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Maui Huliau Foundation, Maui Climate Action Network and Pomemaui present one of three climate change education and activism events this week as part of the Maui Virtual Climate March!

Friday's showing outside in the parking lot (chairs provided) behind POME surf shop on Hana Hwy in Pāʻia will present Maui Huliau music video Carbon Funk and Josh Fox's “How to Let Go of the World and Love All the Things That Climate Can't Change” (long name but great film!). After the showing, participants can choose to write their climate action message on a whiteboard and take their photo in front of the Maui CAN banner. These photos will be shared with other #MauiClimateMarch photos on the Maui CAN page on the 29th as part of the global People's Climate March.

The banner will also be across the street at Charley's at the Freeradicals Projekt Charley's Paia April 28th after party show starting at 9:30pm where we will stream photos from the #MauiClimateMarch.

The film showing is free and open to the public. Donations of any amount to Maui Huliau Foundation's environmental education programs for Maui youth are gratefully accepted and any amount put in the donation bin at showings this week will be matched up to $1,000 by ARTPLACE for American via the Mālamalama Maui Creative Placemaking project.
