Maui Climate March Film Series: Before the Flood & Disobedience

April 26, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Maui Huliau Foundation, Maui Climate Action Network and Student Ohana for Sustainability present one of three climate change education and activism events this week as part of the Maui Virtual Climate March!

Wednesday's showing at the ʻIke Leʻa science building Room 144 at University of Hawai'i Maui College will present Maui Huliau Foundation's music video Carbon Funk, 350.org's film Disobedience and Leonardo DiCaprio's Before the Flood. After the showing, participants can choose to write their climate action message on a whiteboard and take their photo in front of the Maui CAN banner. These photos will be shared with other #MauiClimateMarch photos on the Maui CAN page on the 29th as part of the global People's Climate March.

The showing is free and open to the public. Donations of any amount to Maui Huliau Foundation's environmental education programs for Maui youth are gratefully accepted and any amount put in the donation bin at showings this week will be matched up to $1,000 by ARTPLACE for American via the Mālamalama Maui Creative Placemaking project.

Other events this week include:
Showing of How to Let Go of the World and Love All Things That Climate Canʻt Change at Pomemaui in Pāʻia
Climate Change Talk by Chip Fletcher at the UHMC ʻIke Leʻa science building Room 144
