McDermott in Motion: Bringing Gerald McDermott’s Art to Life

December 10, 2016 @ 10:30 am - 11:15 am

Renowned children’s book author, and Joseph Campbell Foundation Fellow, Gerald McDermott has long been celebrated for his skill in bringing folktales of the world to children. With stunning masks and costumes inspired by the art in the late author’s books, storyteller Nyla Fujii-Babb and dancer Yukie Shiroma bring his stories to life in this wonderful stage adaptation of such stories as Raven and Arrow to the Sun.

This program is 45 minutes long and recommended for ages 4 and up.

Please notify the library at least ten (10) days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if other special accommodation is needed. For more information, please contact the library's Edna Allyn Room for Children at 586-3510.
