Happy Birthday, Community Seed Library!

Celebrate the Community Seed Library's first year at the Kailua-Kona Public Library!

Schedule of Events:
9:15 a.m. – Those participating in the Plant and Seed Swap can set up on the lanai
9:45 a.m. – Opening circle
10:00 – 11:00 a.m. – Plant and Seed Swap
10:30 a.m. – Birthday Cake and treats served on the lanai
11:00 a.m. – The Swap ends and we move into the library for our program presented by Nancy Redfeather, Lyn Howe and Ilana Stout followed by a panel and group discussion

Guidelines for seed/plant exchange:
Please bring only pest and disease-free, non-invasive plant materials and seeds.
Please only take seeds and plant materials that you intend to cultivate in the next year.
Please do not take anything prior, but feel free to look around and check everything out!
Label your seed and plant offerings with the following about each variety that you are offering for exchange:
-Name of plant and variety (if known)
-Date seed saved or when plant was propagated
-Location Grown & Zone (see SVST Zone map at kohalacenter.org/docs/resources/hpsi/svst_ZoneMap_HawaiiCo.pdf and locate your zone
-Growing Conditions and any interesting history, if possible
-Cooking Tips

Program schedule is subject to change. Program is free and is suitable for ages 12 and older.
